Montreal Olympic Games 1976
March 1975
Oil Crayon on Paper - 84cm x 61cm
Catalogue Ref: 750318
This was one of three colour version that I screen-printed at the Central School of Art.
The idea was that the Olympic Games was a 'lemon' of an event. 'lemon: a disappointment, anything worthless or fraudulent.' (from Cassell's Dictionary of Slang.)
There is some debate about the accuracy of my anatomical manipulations of Discobolus' arm, but I have photographic evidence (somewhere) that it is alright.
